Our 2024-2025 All Star Cheer tryouts will be held on Saturday, May 18th this year. In this tryout, athletes will only showcase jumps, tumbling and a short dance combo. During the tumbling portion, we are looking for athletes to show their best standing tumbling pass and 1-2 best running tumbling passes. Those interested in flying will remain after the initial skill evaluation to be tested on various flying abilities. Please arrive early to check-in and receive your athletes’ number and make sure that you are on the pre-registration list as well.
10:00-12:30 – Ages 3-11
12:30-3:00 – Ages 12 & Up
Following the individual skill evaluation, athletes will be placed into a group evaluation the following week and split up into a blue, green or white group (this is not a team placement).
May 20th – Blue Squad
May 22nd – Green Squad
May 23rd – White Squad
There will be an optional parent meeting on May 22nd that will cover the gym policies, answer billing questions, etc. This will be for our new parents that have not done allstar with HVC before.
May 27th, 29th, and 30th will be team parent meetings discussing everything to expect and go over commitments for the season. If you plan on having your athlete crossover, you’ll only need to come to one of the team meetings.
Team Placement:
HVC competitive team placements will be announced and posted online May 26th. Athletes will be placed on a team in which they have mastered, not necessarily working on. Please trust that we will be forming teams that benefit your athlete and their success at competitions. We would really like to see ALL our elite teams make it to finals at All Star World Championships next season.
